Server downtime can potentially undermine the very operations of many
businesses. At times,
the results can be critical.
In this seminar organized by CHASSAsia, the threats of critical server failure
to site disaster were addressed. Solutions were then offered as to how
companies can prevent the occurrence of this downtime and in essence, achieve
business continuity.
Marathon Technologies showed in this seminar that there is a better alternative
to clusters with the
HP HA Solution. Hitachi Data Systems also demonstrated how the ever reliable
AOS (Application Optimized Storage) makes business continuity a reality.
There was then a deployment of business continuity and disaster recovery as a
case study in the real environment by Bakbone on how companies can achieve high
availability and zero data loss for their business applications.
Our guest speakers for this event were Karl Horman from Marathon Technologies,
Robert Sim from BakBone, and Nigel from Hitachi Data systems. This event saw a
turnout of more than 40 attendees coming from professions such as IT managers,
Programme managers, Business development
managers, System executives and directors from well known companies in the
industry.
