Job Summary:

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support enterprise network and security projects, as well as ongoing managed service operations. The role will be responsible for network implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, incident resolution and change support across customer environments.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in enterprise networking, firewall, wireless, VPN, SD-WAN and hybrid cloud connectivity, with exposure to products such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Aruba, Cisco Meraki and related network monitoring or access control solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, configure and support enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewall and SD-WAN solutions.

  • Support project activities such as staging, deployment, migration, testing, cutover, documentation and customer handover.

  • Respond to customer requests, service requests, incidents and change requests in accordance with agreed service levels.

  • Troubleshoot network, firewall, wireless and connectivity issues remotely and on-site.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, health checks, patching, firmware updates, configuration backup and security hardening.

  • Support firewall policy changes, VPN configuration, NAT rules, routing, switching and wireless administration.

  • Assist in vulnerability assessment follow-up and remediation activities.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as network diagrams, configuration records, change records, test results and RCA reports.

  • Participate in customer meetings, project discussions and service review sessions where required.

  • Work closely with project managers, presales, cloud/infrastructure engineers and operations teams.

  • Provide after-hours support for planned change windows or critical incidents where required.

  • Assist in guiding junior engineers and improving internal network support capability.

Technical Skills:

The candidate should have hands-on experience in some of the following:

  • Networking

    • Cisco routers and switches

    • VLAN, trunking, STP, routing and switching

    • LAN, WAN, WLAN and site-to-site connectivity

    • OSPF, BGP or other routing protocols

    • Network troubleshooting and packet analysis

  • Firewall / Security

    • Fortinet FortiGate

    • Palo Alto Networks

    • Check Point firewall

    • Cisco firewall

    • IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, NAT, firewall policy and security rules

  • Wireless / NAC

    • Aruba wireless

    • Cisco wireless

    • Cisco Meraki

    • Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE will be an advantage

  • Data Centre / Advanced Networking

    • Cisco ACI will be an advantage

    • Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM will be an advantage

    • Citrix ADC / load balancer or F5 experience will be an advantage

  • Monitoring / Operations

    • SolarWinds, PRTG or similar monitoring tools

    • Incident, change and problem management experience

    • Preventive maintenance, patching, health check and hardening

  • Hybrid / Cloud Networking

    • Basic knowledge of Azure, AWS or hybrid cloud connectivity

    • VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, cloud firewall or virtual network knowledge will be an advantage

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network support, implementation or maintenance.

  • Experience in enterprise networking, firewall, wireless, LAN, WAN and VPN support.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major network or firewall product such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Aruba or Meraki.

  • Able to troubleshoot network issues independently and communicate clearly with customers.

  • Experience in project implementation, migration or managed service environment will be an advantage.

  • Good documentation skills for network diagrams, configuration records, change records and RCA reports.

  • Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Aruba, Check Point or equivalent will be an advantage.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a project or operations team.
